Our client seeks a talented individual to lead their growing life sciences portfolio, building on a previous strong track record of delivery of science, software, consultancy services and training. The Discovery Science sales team will be responsible for maximising the value of their services, delivering cutting-edge research and generating novel insights in the field of knowledge-based Discovery Science.
As the sales lead in your region, you will maintain key scientific relationships within the Pharmaceutical Discovery and Biotech industry, driving the sales of strategic initiatives.
You will be part of the commercial team to ensure alignment and integration of the Discovery Science vision within the overall strategic framework. You will secure new business sales for our client's products and services within pharmaceutical R&D in China to meet sales objectives and ensure profitable growth. You will manage the new business pipeline from prospecting to close and provide effective activity distribution across each sale funnel stage to deliver sustained partnerships. Working across our client's exciting portfolio, you will engage business decision-makers and coordinate company resources to ensure a high sales conversion rate, creating an environment to support successful delivery.
Essential skills and expertise required
• You will understand pharmaceutical discovery and development.
• You can manage the entire strategic selling sales process – prospecting, qualification, opportunity management and closing.
• You will have experience in solutions selling and meeting new business sales quotas.
• You will have experience in the drug discovery and development process
• It is highly desirable that you know scientific data management and appreciate the value of structural information and informatics.
• You will be able to undertake international travel.
