Ideofuzion is looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team!
As a DBA at Ideofuzion, you’ll be responsible for ensuring database reliability, scalability, and security while working closely with cross-functional teams to support mission-critical systems.
📍 Location: Civic Center, Bahria Town, Islamabad, Pakistan
🕒 Employment Type: Full-time
⏰ Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
📅 Work Days: Monday to Friday
Job Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or others).
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Ensure database security by controlling access and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application needs.
- Design and maintain database documentation, standards, and policies.
- Perform capacity planning and future database scaling.
- Regularly update systems with patches and upgrades.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-2–4 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
-Proficiency with database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
-Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
-Knowledge of database security best practices and disaster recovery solutions.
-Familiarity with replication, clustering, and high-availability setups.
-Basic understanding of Linux and Windows server environments.
-Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
-Knowledge of cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or similar) is a plus.
