Pakistan Observer is hiring immediately to replace a core member of our dynamic Digital Team. We are looking for a Full Stack Social Media Manager—a versatile and skilled individual who can manage end-to-end digital content operations and work directly under the supervision of the Digital Team Lead.
This is a key role requiring creativity, agility, and leadership to drive our digital presence forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily social media posting and scheduling across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
- Share stories and ensure timely updates across all channels
- Keep track of tasks and outputs from the broader social media team
- Edit video content, including podcasts and promotional clips for social platforms
- Provide photo editing support and guidance to the content team
- Design posters, infographics, and social media creatives as needed
- Ensure brand consistency across visuals and messaging
- Liaise internally across departments to streamline content approvals and campaign execution
- Approve content, guide ideation, and ensure timely publishing
- Source trending news and ensure relevance of shared content
- Track analytics and suggest improvements for engagement
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management and content strategy
- Strong video and photo editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
- Graphic design proficiency (Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced media environment
- A keen eye for detail and aesthetics
- Self-motivated, creative, and proactive team player
Bonus:
- Experience in podcast editing and publishing
- Prior experience in a newsroom or media outlet
- Interest in news, current affairs, and digital trends
