Lead Servicenow Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement cutting-edge solutions on the ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will lead custom development projects, integrate external systems, and mentor junior developers to ensure best practices. Key Responsibilities

🔹 Solution Development & Customization

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom applications, scripts, and workflows in ServiceNow.
  • Utilize JavaScript, Glide scripting, UI policies/actions, Flow Designer, and Workflow Editor to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Develop intuitive and user-friendly Service Portals using AngularJS/React, HTML, and CSS.

🔹 Integrations & API Development

  • Design and implement seamless integrations with third-party systems using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
  • Collaborate with architects and business analysts to align integrations with business needs.

🔹 Technical Leadership & Best Practices

  • Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD practices, version control (Git, Jenkins), and deployment processes.

🔹 Problem-Solving & Support

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement fixes proactively.
  • Stay up-to-date with ServiceNow releases and emerging technologies to recommend enhancements.

 

 

Education & Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong background in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and UI development.

 

Skills Taxonomy:

✔ ServiceNow Development: Glide scripting, client/server-side scripting, UI policies/actions, Flow Designer, Workflow Editor.

✔ Front-End Technologies: HTML, CSS, AngularJS/React (especially for Service Portals or custom UI experiences).

✔ Integration & APIs: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.

✔ Version Control & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.

✔ Problem-Solving: Root cause analysis, debugging, optimization.

✔ Soft Skills: Technical leadership, mentoring, collaboration.
