BlackStack is seeking a talented Software Engineer with Ruby on Rails experience
Role
• Collaborate with the Software Development Manager in the preparation of technical project plans and timelines.
• Provide leadership and guidance in technical and process-related matters to the development team.
• Facilitate Development Team conversations around new technologies and process improvement ideas.
• Designing and developing new APIs.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing applications.
• Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby code.
• Integrating database with the front end.
• Creating back-end components.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6 months to 3 years experience working with Ruby on Rail
• Experience with JS Frameworks is also a plus.
• Ability to write clean Ruby code.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, GitHub, SVN, etc.
• Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
