Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Mirth Connect interfaces for seamless healthcare data exchange.
- Design, develop, and deploy Mirth channels to integrate EHRs, HIS, LIS, and other healthcare applications.
- Ensure high availability and performance of Mirth interfaces by monitoring logs, performance metrics, and error handling.
- Ensure interfaces comply with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and other industry standards.
- Work with various protocols like HL7 v2/v3, X12, FHIR, DICOM, Web Services (REST/SOAP), TCP/IP, SFTP, and APIs.
- Work closely with developers, integration teams, and healthcare IT staff to resolve issues and optimize data flow.
- Maintain thorough documentation of integration workflows, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Mirth Connect administration and development.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) for interface development and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in HL7, FHIR, X12, DICOM, JSON, XML, and API integrations.
- Scripting knowledge in JavaScript, SQL, and Groovy.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Experience working with EHR/EMR systems and healthcare interoperability.
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows server environments and networking basics.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Certification in Mirth Connect or healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Experience with cloud-based Mirth deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Background in Healthcare IT, RCM, or Clinical Informatics
