Job Description
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to replace demo content with custom content in a pre-designed theme, adjust layouts, and create new sections as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience working with WordPress themes, page builders (like Elementor or WPBakery), and basic design knowledge to ensure the website is visually appealing, responsive, and optimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Replace demo content in a WordPress theme with provided custom content, ensuring alignment with the theme’s structure and design.
- Create or modify sections and pages to accommodate missing or additional content.
- Adjust layouts, styles, and components to match the brand’s requirements while maintaining a consistent and professional design.
- Utilize page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Divi for customization and ensure the website is fully responsive across devices, including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Set up and configure essential WordPress plugins, including SEO tools, caching systems, and forms, to enhance website functionality.
- Implement design tweaks using basic HTML/CSS as needed and configure technical files such as ads.txt.
- Work collaboratively with the content team, UI/UX designer, or project manager to ensure the design meets the project’s vision and objectives while providing input on layout improvements or technical constraints.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs, broken links, or responsiveness issues.
- Optimize website performance for faster loading times and ensure SEO best practices are followed.
- Deliver a polished, high-performing, and visually appealing WordPress website that aligns with the project requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in WordPress: Strong understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations.
- Experience with Page Builders: Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, or similar tools.
- Basic Coding Knowledge: HTML, CSS, and basic PHP to tweak designs and themes.
- Responsive Design Expertise: Ability to optimize websites for mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Familiarity with SEO Tools: Experience with Yoast SEO or similar plugins.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures the design is visually consistent and meets requirements.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve layout or functionality issues quickly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WooCommerce (if applicable).
- Familiarity with Adobe XD, Figma, or design tools to interpret UI/UX mockups.
- Knowledge of WordPress optimization tools like WP Rocket, Smush, or Autoptimize.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs or tools.
