Job Description
OctiLearn is an early-stage EdTech startup, registered in the US as a Delaware C-Corp. We currently have a couple of key partners in the US and are part of the Gitex Future Stars event, scheduled for October 2021 in Dubai.
This is a long-term role that offers immense room for career growth and progression. We have a diverse team spanning 3 continents and people working with us are an integral part of our overall strategy.
As the site developer, we would expect you to merge our vision and imagination with your own, in order to create a highly aesthetic, functional, and dynamic website.
Please note that the first version of the site has already been developed and we are now looking for someone to join our team for continuous updates and development.
Responsibilities:
- Website design and function.
- Designing and building the website front-end.
- Creating the website architecture.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Good communication skills.
