Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated WordPress Engineer with up to 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and performance optimization, with a passion for creating user-friendly and responsive websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet client and company needs.
- Customize and extend existing WordPress functionalities to enhance website performance and usability.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to deliver high-quality web solutions.
- Ensure all projects meet best practices for responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and SEO optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and website errors.
- Conduct routine maintenance, updates, and backups for WordPress websites.
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress developments, trends, and technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Up to 2 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and PHP.
- Experience with WordPress theme development, including the use of page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
- Familiarity with MySQL and database management.
- Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of WordPress security best practices and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with WooCommerce or other WordPress-based e-commerce solutions.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of hosting environments and website deployment processes.
