Job Description
As a WordPress Developer at Programmx, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress-based websites. Your experience with Shopify will also come into play as you assist in the development and customization of Shopify stores for e-commerce clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Work with ACF, Elementor, and other popular WordPress tools.
- Customize and troubleshoot WordPress websites based on client requirements.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver high-quality sites.
- Make minor to moderate customizations to Shopify themes and store settings.
- Assist in migrating content between WordPress and Shopify if needed.
- Ensure websites are responsive, SEO-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Perform regular updates and backups for client sites.
- Debug and fix bugs or issues across platforms.
Required Skills
- Solid experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Familiarity with Shopify platform, including theme customization.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and responsive design.
- Experience working with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, etc.
- Understanding of e-commerce principles and website performance optimization.
- Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
- Version control experience (e.g., Git) is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with Liquid (Shopify’s templating language).
- Experience integrating APIs or third-party services
